This is the path that arrives at the base. On the building on the left is the date 1901.

Este es el camino que llega a la base. En el edificio de la izquierda se encuentra la fecha 1901.

Arriving at the end of the path we turned to the right to border the mount. We can see above on the side of the mount and to the right two sentry boxes.

Llegando al final del camino torcemos hacia la derecha para bordear el monte. Podemos ver arriba y a la derecha dos garitas.

Tras cruzar una zona de densa vegetacion nos encontramos con la entrada a los pasadizos.

The stairs of the end of the passage go directly to the mount. To mention that underneath each arch there's a tunnel that descends towards the right and that it goes to the positions of the coastal batteries. All this was explored without a torch which means I could have left something without seeing.

La escalera del final del pasadizo va directamente al monte. Mencionar que debajo de cada arco hay un tunel que desciende hacia la derecha y que va a salir a las posiciones de las baterias costeras. Todo esto se exploro sin linterna con lo cual pudo haber quedado algo sin ver.

Oxidized pulleys, dentated wheels and two guides. All this makes me think that this was an old freight elevator for projectiles? This is ubicated at the middle arch, the second one.

Poleas oxidadas, ruedas dentadas y dos guias. Todo hace pensar que se trata de un antiguo montacargas para proyectiles? Esto se encuentra en el arco del medio, el segundo.

One of multiple tunnels situated between the seen freight elevator and the axis of the batteries.

Uno de los multiples tuneles que se encuentran entre el montacargas visto arriba y los ejes de las baterias.

Here we have one of the three positions of coastal batteries that exist. We can appreciate the axis and the rotation guides. I have recently found out that only two of the three positions were ever used. The artillery used here was two 26cm Krupp cannons, which were dismantled in the 1950's.

Aqui tenemos una de las tres posiciones de baterias costeras que existen. Podemos apreciar el eje y las guias de rotacion. Recientemente he averiguado que solo dos de las tres posiciones fueron utilizados. La artillería usada aquí fueron 2 cañones Krupp de 26cm, las cuales fueron desmantelados en la década de los 50.

		Ares, La Coruña (2001) Impressive quarter dated on one of the buildings at the entrance in 1901 but I have found out that in 1800 two mortars existed here. This place has impressive subterranean passages, sentry boxes, a bunker and remains of two coastal battery axis. A really impressive place. Impresionante cuartel fechado en uno de los edificios de la entrada en 1901 pero he aveiguado que en 1800 existian dos morteros aqui. Este lugar posee impresionantes pasadizos subterraneos, garitas, un bunker y restos de dos ejes de baterias costeras. Un lugar realmente impresionante.
