After some time examining aerial photos of the area, I decided to return
to explore an area I had never seen before. This place in question, is about 250 meters to the left of the Vickers 152,4mm
batteries.
So there I went, crossing through bushes and mud until I reached the tunnel
entrance.
Tras pasar un tiempo examinando fotos aéreas de la zona, decidí regresar
a la zona para explorar una zona en la que nunca había estado. Este lugar en cuestión, se encuentra a unos 250 m hacia la
izquierda de las baterías Vickers 152,4mm.
Asi que allá me fui, atravesando tojos y barro hasta llegar a la
entrada del tunel.

I realised that there really was a tunnel there.
Vista desde arriba sobre una posición de artillería. Al ver esto,
me di cuenta que sí había un tunel debajo.
After walking down the edge of the cliffs, I reached the entrance of the
tunnel. To the right, abandoned rooms. Straight ahead, the tunnel. I was rather scared going down there on my own.
Tras bajar por el borde del acantilado, llegue a la entrada del túnel.
Hacia la derecha, habitaciones abandonadas. Hacia delante, el túnel. Tenía cierto miedo a bajar allí yo solo.
A photo taken inside the tunnel. You can see the two ramifications
that lead to the artillery positions. To my left, although you can't see it, is a large passage that lead to a dark hall.
I was really scared here as I started to hear strange wipping noises from the tunnels. At first I started to walk out
but then finally went down there to see what the noises were.

que llevan hacia las posiciones de artillería. Hacia mi izquierda, aunque no se ve, hay un largo pasillo que lleva a un hall
oscuro.
Aquí tenía bastante miedo al comenzar a oir extraños sonidos tipo
latigazos procedentes de los túneles. En un primer momento comence a caminar hacia fuera pero finalmente decidí seguir adelante
para ver la procedencia de los sonidos.
Going futher down the tunnel I reached this point. The noises were louder
here.
Avanzando por el túnel llegué a este punto. Los sonidos aquí eran
más fuertes.
I finally reached the positions and discovered that the noises came from
fishing rods. Yes, there was plenty of people down there fishing from the artillery positions. I didn't take any pics there.
So I decided to leave the place but, before exiting, have a quick look at the dark hall.
Finalmente alcance las posiciones y descubrí que los sonidos procedían
de unas cañas de pescar. Efectivamente, había bastantes personas pescando desde las posiciones de artillería. No saqué fotos
allí.
Así pues, decidí abandonar el sitio pero, antes de salir, echar un ojo al hall
oscuro.
I crossed the hall and entered this ice cold tunnel dug out of granite.
Doesn't it remind you of the tunnel under Monteventoso?
Crucé el hall para entrar en este helado túnel. ¿No os recuerda al
túnel de Monteventoso?
After walking a couple of minutes, I reached the end of the tunnel.
That black object to the left made me think it was a body. It wasn't, it was a black plastic sack full of rubble.
Tras caminar unos minutos, llegué al final del túnel. El objeto oscuro
de la izquierda me inquietó bastante. Finalmente resultó ser un saco negro de plástico lleno de escombro.
A shaft that leads up to a watchout bunker buried under deep vegetation.
A interesting place very similar to the tunnels at Cabo Prioriño Grande.
Un foso que lleva a un bunker de vigilancia enterrado bajo densa
vegetación.
Un lugar interesante muy similar a los túneles de Cabo Prioriño Grande.
