At last, the time has come to create the section dedicated
to the installations located at Montefaro, on the Mugardos border, almost as important and impressive as those located at
Ferrol. There are six locations altogether. First we can see an arsenal?, the second location is a monastery converted into
a quarter, another three where coastal batteries and the last one is an AA complex. If you want to reach this place, go directly
to Mugardos and then take the road that leads to the Castle of La Palma. Halfway between Mugardos and the Castle, there's
an road that leads left up to the Monastery of Santa Catalina, well indicated with a little wooden sign. One of the best ways
to not get lost is to always go in the direction of the TV repeaters, seen from almost any spot.
Por fín, ha llegado la hora de crear la sección dedicada a las
instalaciones de Montefaro, en la orilla de Mugardos, casi tan importantes e impresionantes como los de la orilla de Ferrol.
Hay seis localizaciones en total. El primero puede haber sido un polvorín, el segundo un monasterio convertido en
cuartel, otras tres fueron baterías costeras y el último un complejo antiaéreo.
Para acceder a esta zona recomiendo ir hasta Mugardos y desde aquí tomar la carretera
que lleva al Castillo de La Palma. A medio camino entre el Castillo y Mugardos, tomar el desvio hacia la izquierda que lleva
hasta el Monasterio de Santa Catalina, señalizado con un pequeño cartel de madera. Una de las mejores maneras de no perderse
es ir siempre hacia los repetidores de televisión ya que se ven desde cualquier lado.
