Lugo (10-2005)
Thanks to the indications of Borja Gutierrez of Lugo, I was able to visit this
close to 1.000.000 sqm military arsenal in the province of Lugo. There isn't much left standing but the little that is was
worth photographing. This place has also attracted my attention since I read that on the 27/11/1995 an UFO was seen and filmed
hovering over the arsenal for about 6 hours. I have no more info covering this event.
Gracias a las indicaciones de Borja Gutierrez de Lugo, pude visitar este
polvorín de 1.000.000 m2 en la provincia de Lugo.
Ya no queda mucho en pie pero lo que permanece bien merece ser fotografiado.
Este lugar también atrajo mi atención ya que en durante la noche del 27/11/1995
fue avistado y filmado un OVNI con forma de rombo que planeaba sobre la base durante unas 6 horas. No dispongo de más información
sobre este evento.

There are two identical towers and no possible access to the upper
level. Dead trees and rubble are all around.
Hay dos torres identicas y ninguna forma de acceder al nivel superior.
Hay escombro y arboles muertos por todas partes.
Strange posts follow an abandoned path that leads north.
Extraños postes guian un camino abandonado hacia el norte.
There are no large towers like the ones that once existed at the
Culleredo arsenal but these medievel shape sentry boxes with two levels that are about 150 meters between each other. Theres
no possible access to the upper level.
Aquí no hay las inmensas torres que una vez hubo en el povorín de
Culleredo sino garitas de dos pisos con aspecto medieval a unos 150 m entre ellos. No hay forma de acceder al nivel superior.
Progress: The new "As Termas" shopping centre recently opened is
just in the distance.
Progreso: El nuevo centro comercial "As Termas" recientemente abierto
a lo lejos.

Close view of a sentry box with the industrial estate "O Ceao" in
the distance and coming fast.
Una vista cercana a una de las garitas con el polígono industrial

The largest structure of all. A watchout tower in the middle of
nowhere. Theres no access to the top.
La mayor estructura de todas; Un puesto de vigilancia en medio de
ninguna parte. No hay acceso a la parte superior.
It's painted with green and brown colours. Really impressive.
Esta pintado en tonos verdes y marrones. Realmente impresionante.
The rubble was once the main barracks and offices. Al that stands
in this area, close to the east access, is the watertower seen behind.
El escombro fue en su día los barracones y las oficinas. Todo lo
que permanece en esta zona, junto al acceso Este, es el depósito de agua visto a lo lejos.
Although abandoned, theres still barbed wire and fences at some
spots.
This area will be converted soon into the new industrial estate.
A pesar de estar abandonado, aún hay alambradas y vallas.
Este lugar sera convertido proximamente en un nuevo polígono industrial.
